Like any trick, you do it in stages.
After mastering “sit”, try having them sit while holding the treat in front of their face (without moving).
Once they’ve got that down, you can hold their snout in place and put the treat on the nose..they tend to focus on the treat and will wait for the release command.
If your dog is really talented, they will flip it up and catch it in mid air
That’s so awesome. But how do you teach a dog to leave a piece of food on it’s nose like that?
